Ever since I first saw Athena Calderone's Brooklyn townhome, I've had endless inspiration. It's one of those homes that I'll never tire of. A wonderful complement of classic, rustic and truly unique pieces, her home is soulful with a city vibe.
So Athena is the founder and creator of the beautiful lifestyle blog, Eyeswoon, and self declared multi-hyphenate. In her new podcast, More Than One Thing, she explains that her road to success was not a clear path but more of a windy and unconventional one. Dabbling in many creative fields she finally arrived at the conclusion that she didn't have to do that one thing, but rather combine her passions - interior design, cooking and entertaining - to create a career that's a unique portal into her creative world. And added to this list is author. In her latest book, Live Beautiful, she showcases her beautiful homes as well as some other extraordinary ones.
I really think Athena has a talent of curating individual pieces to create her singular style. I don't see many spaces that feel grounded in the classics, freshly modern and yet honest and true in their execution. Her home is welcoming, yet sophisticated without being cold and museum-like. It's warm, soulful and inviting. I hope that you have as much pleasure viewing her home as I've had.
